preparing for ofsted inspection equality and diversity This one day course covers:
  • What makes a perfect equality and diversity lesson
  • What elements of equality and diversity should be included in the tutorial
  • What make a good equality and diversity learning environment
  • Which equality and diversity activities are effectively included in the curriculum
  • What behaviour is expected of learners in order to ensure that no one experiences discrimination, bullying or harassment in the learning environment
  • How to set EDI ground rules set with learners and what difference they make to the individual learning experience
  • How the student handbook communicates about equality and diversity


We are currently working with colleges, Work Based Learning providers and schools to pilot specific EDI approaches with learners.


Aims of the Course

This course is a chance for professionals

  • To learn and share equality best practice
  • To understand how Learner Voice can support your equality and inclusion agenda
  • To evaluate different strategies for promoting equality to your learners
  • To reflect on your own EDI provision and how learners are/can be engaged
  • To provide a space for learners and staff to share effective EDI ideas and experience
  • To gather ideas and actions to advance equality and diversity and to tackle discrimination

How is the course taught?

This is a face-to-face course taught by experienced professionals. It offers a range of methods to help participants develop both skills and knowledge. These include direct formal input, small and large group discussions and exercises and case study material.

Our In-House course rates are as follows:

  • Full day (One trainer - up to 20 participants): £795
  • Half day (up to 3 hour sessions): £495

We can do 2 separate half day sessions in a full day for the full day rate

For groups of more than 20, we can provide more trainers or split the delegates into smaller groups


  • Travel and subsistence costs are in addition
