A one day training course designed to raise awareness of your understanding and responsibilities in relation to Equality and Diversity.

It includes the key changes to equality legislation brought about by the 2010 Equality Act.

The objectives of the course are to raise awareness of diversity in order to:

Provide best services to your service users
Identify new skills and working practices needed to promote and foster diversity
Understand new and existing legislation around diversity
Examine your own perceptions and assumptions about diversity
Acquire knowledge and understanding in effectively managing diversity

Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at people who are looking for a basic grounding in equality and diversity issues. No previous knowledge is required. It would, for example, suit people working for organisations that provide services to local authorities and needs to evidence a knowledge of equality and diversity practices and procedures
